10 OF THE BEST BASKET CIRCLE BAGS
Back in January this year, I posted on my Instagram how I predicted that two stylish things would hit stratospheric this summer.
The first item was hand-held fans (which I am working on a separate blog post at the moment. Watch this space!)
The second were circle basket bags, which (I told you so!) are now EVERYWHERE!
Circular bags have been bubbling for a while now, in fact since designers like Roksanda and Chloé started showcasing round accessories for 2017, you knew it was only a matter of time before that trend did a Ted Polhemus and trickled on down.
The circle bag pictured above is by the wonderful boutique label Estée-Rose. Do check out the website for the most adorable artisan bags made in Indonesia.
The basket bag below was a recent gift from Monsoon. Their Rosa Round Crossbody has been a sell out – so you’ll need to be quick off the mark to nab this one. Go! Go! Go!
A straw bag immediately adds a summery beach vibe to your outfit – even if you’re on your way to the bank!
However, unlike my massive straw bucket bag – which ends up housing everything when we go on holiday (all the big bags of Cheetos, basically!) it’s impractical for everyday without apologising every three seconds for inadvertently taking people down in Waitrose, Miami-Dolphins-style!
What I love about these round straw bags, is that size-wise, they’re pretty perfect for everyday.
Depending on whether you go for saucer-size, tambourine or shoulder-tote, there’s ample room to house your essentials edit as opposed to lugging around all the Cheetos plus the kitchen sink, innit!
I’ve popped a few more styles, sizes and colours below for you to shop, starting with this hand-made Balinese beauty from Wood/Grey.
Happy straw bag shopping!
